All right. Testing, testing. Here I am. Finally stopped being a lazy oaf and I've gotten my account set up, which is good. I'm Jack Auberge, I own Fine Tuned, you probably know me if you like music or know someone who does.
Ice River is strange like that, that everyone knows each other. It's something I generally love but often hate. I've lived here my entire life, taking short breaks for foolish romps at university where I majored in, drum roll please, music! Well, I'm actually rotten about talking about myself, and pretty much anything else other than music, but I will try my best. I think it's fitting to do a little... introduction of sorts here in my first entry on my account. Who wants to read about someone's life when they don't know about the someone? (Really, who wants to read about my life, anyway?)
I'm Jack, as you know, real name John. I don't understand the nickname, but it's apparently been like that since the dawn of the name "John" or something. I stopped fighting it at ten, mostly because I'm much more fond of "Jack" than I am of "John". There have been good Johns, of course. Lennon, Mellencamp, er. Stamos. "Jack" sounds better to me.
I'm thirty-two years old, and have been for almost seven months. So, I'm getting old but I'm not nearly as old as I could be. I was once thirty-one, if you can believe that. Thirty before that.
So I have a bad sense of humour. Just so you know.
I like to think of myself as a nice person. I mean, I donate to charities and I would volunteer if I thought that I could fit it into my schedule and/or could fine something that I was good at. I was raised to be that way, so it's not like I can take credit for it. I don't think my parents were as nice as they would have liked to think they were, though. I once wanted a puppy and they definitely did not let me have it.
I'm allergic to peanuts and mangoes, one of which is an allergy that actually matters. I'm a big fan of food and I don't care what it is as long as it isn't peanuts, mangoes, or sushi. Seriously, I tried that stuff once and it is not for me.
So, I own Fine Tuned, come on over and buy some items from me. I'm pretty musical if you haven't figured that out just yet. Raised on piano, learnt guitar because I was an awesome teenager, and have dabbled in singing thanks to an overly singing-happy mother. I used to compose. I don't do that much anymore, but well, that's a different story for a different time.
You'll have to wait at the edge of your seat for more.
